Objective
To provide young people, particularly from immigrant and refugee backgrounds, with the skills, training, and mentorship needed to pursue successful careers in high-demand fields such as Cybersecurity, Networking, Coding, IT Support, and Advanced Manufacturing.
Aligned with the Blueprint for economic development, the Youth Workforce Development Program offers vocational training, internships, and mentorship that prepare youth for careers in critical sectors. Our program includes partnerships with the City of Columbus, Franklin County Board of Commissioners, American Honda Co., Inc., and United Way of Central Ohio, ensuring that participants have access to practical experiences and career-building opportunities.
Since its launch, the program has equipped over 300 youth with skills in IT and manufacturing, many of whom have secured jobs or internships in their chosen fields.
